The Persian Hebrew Congregation has compiled a cook book with recipes from the 4 corners of the Jewish world.
The first edition featured Persian cooking from the Northern region or Iran. This reflected the original members (Urmia)of the synagogue which is now located in Skokie, Illinois.
Later waves of immigration brought Jews from central Iran(Shiraz) and their unique cooking styles. The congregations’ Rabbi ,Shaoul Hamaoui, provided an inspirational message in the forward to the book and worked closely on the project.
Pasi cooking is a project of the Persian Hebrew Congregation located in Skokie, IL.
This amazing book consists of various ethnic recipes both Sephardic and Ashkenazic.
Every recipe is beautifully photographed and tested. The Congregation is unique in its diversity and the coordinator and guiding light of this cook book Dov Polisky devoted countless hours to see this book published.
His belief that these special recipes be available to those who love to cook resulted in this magnificent book.
