An Israeli bus driver was caught on camera using his cell phone while driving.
According to published reports, a passenger on the 597 “Superbus” Bus Line, noticed the driver using the phone while driving on the busy highway.
The passenger, whose name is Ari Hamnick, approached the driver and asked him why he was watching a video while driving on the Tel Aviv – Jerusalem Highway. The driver does not respond, but apparently placed the phone away after being told by Hamnick that the police would be notified.
Superbus released a statement that the driver has been taken off the road.
This disturbing video comes just one week after 6 people were killed and many other seriously injured in the Egged 402 crash.

Kol hakovod to Mr. Hamnick
not only should these guys be “taken off the road”, their licenses should be permanently suspended. they’re absolutely crazy and irresponsible!
What’s so shocking?
People have something in their heads that tells them it won’t happen to them

I hope he is fired and put in jail for reckless endangerment.
Let him be a lesson to all drivers whether bus drivers, truck drivers or just plain private auto drivers that this is very dangerous.
This happens all the time. I took a similar picture and sent it in to egged with a demand to do something about a year ago. The driver remains, as do his facebooking-while-driving habits. Nobody cares in Israel. Wish Americans would make aliyah in massive numbers and change this place once and for all.
