After years of discussion pertaining to the need for the new road, Deputy Minister of Defense Eli Ben-Dahan presented the plan for a new road in Yehuda, meeting with officials from Gush Etzion and Kiryat Arba to spell out the new planned road. Ben-Dahan explained the planning stage should end by the summer and then in the last quarter of 2016, the heavy equipment should begin cutting the el-Aroub Bypass Road that will bypass the PA (Palestinian Authority) village.
Gush Etzion Council head Davidi Perl explains the new road is of the utmost importance from a security and safety perspective as the current road travels via the hostile population that often attacks Jewish motorists.
Also taking part in the meeting was the IDF are battalion commander.
