Police on Tuesday, 14 Adar-I, arrested two Lod residents, a 33-year-old male and a 47-year-old female on suspicion of breaking into a Modi’in Shul and taking money and safes.

A gabbai of shul altered police, informing them of the burglary in the shul on Cheshvan Street on Monday, 13 Adar-I. police traced the burglary to the suspects and armed with a search warrant, they visited their homes, but they were not at home. The two did come to the Modi’in police station when summoned.

Police learned the two work together in a shopping center and decided to break into the shul at night, damaging the shul’s door and stealing the money and safes. The two were arraigned in the Rishon L’Tzion Magistrate Court.
