A Jewish man was stabbed on Kingston Avenue in the heart of the Crown Heights Jewish community, Wednesday morning.

A police source told YWN that the victim was stabbed in front of a residential building on the block. The victim then ran into the Check Cashing store located on Kingston Avenue near Empire Boulevard, and asked for help.

There were no words exchanged between the victim and the attacker. It appears to be an unprovoked attack.

The victim, reportedly a Lubavitcher Chosid,  is a male in his 30’s, and was stabbed in his upper back.

Crown Heights Hatzolah Paramedics transported the victim to Kings County Hospital. He was conscious and alert, and his vitals were stable.

The NYPD was looking for a black male who fled the scene.

The motive was still unknown and police were investigating the incident.

Many high-ranking NYPD Officials were on scene, including Brooklyn South Deputy Chief Eric Rodriguez.

Just three months ago, a Hatzolah member was stabbed in an unprovoked attack on Eastern Parkway. The attacker was never apprehended.

Additional information will be published when it becomes available to us.
