The NYC Office of Emergency Management is responding to multiple reports of tidal flooding in coastal sections of Queens, Staten Island, and Brooklyn, Monday morning.
The National Weather Service reports that tide levels are approximately a foot higher than forecast. Tides should be peaking at around 9:00AM and waters will begin receding shortly.
NYCEM Citywide Interagency Coordinators have been deployed to these areas to evaluate the flooding conditions.
The National Weather Service is evaluating the coastal flooding potential for the high tide cycle this morning in The Bronx and Northern Queens and the evening high tide cycles throughout the City.
Additional information will be published once the forecast is complete.
