Quadruplets Born in Rambam Medical Center in Haifa


incRambam Medical Service officials report the birth of quadruplets over the weekend, three girls and a boy, born in week 27 of the mother’s pregnancy. The babies weigh between 550-900 grams (17.6 – 31.7 ounces). All four are in a preemie intensive care unit as they are all on assisted breathing with three listed in stable condition and one unstable.

Prof. Shraga Blazer, who heads the preemie ward, explains the chance of giving birth naturally to quadruplets is 1:720,000.
