08:31: [PHOTOS & VIDEO IN EXTENDED ARTICLE] A soldier was wounded in a stabbing attack on Ben-Gurion Blvd. in Ashkelon. There are reports that the terrorist fled into a building. Gunfire was heard, presumably directed at the terrorist.

The condition of the victim is reportedly light-to-moderate. Additional information to follow.

08:44: Additional reports of gunfire, on Hasida Street in the area. A Sudanese male is seriously wounded.

Officials at Barzilai Hospital report the wounded soldier has arrived and his condition is light and he is alert and conscious.

08:55: The attack took place outside the city’s central bus station. After attacking the soldier, the terrorist tried to grab his gun, albeit without success. He then ran and was soon shot and seriously wounded, apparently by civilians.
