The Satmar Rebbe of Williamsburg Shlita was in Israel for a very short visit, during which he attended a family simcha and distributed funds.
It is reported the rebbe davened with chassidim in the airport, in the Ganei Dekel Hall, and then planned to board the flight to London. However, the rebbe arrived late and he and the entourage missed the plane.
Persons in the rebbe’s entourage say what is more likely to have occurred is the rebbe’s name was dropped accidentally from the passenger manifest. One way or another, the rebbe missed his flight.
Askanim are now working to book another flight as the rebbe returned to the VIP lounge in Terminal 1 at Ben-Gurion. It is unclear if he will return to Bnei Brak and then back to the airport or remain in Ben-Gurion and fly directly to London, or possible take a flight to New York and then return to London.

Can’t they make a 250 car motorcade and drive through Lebanon, Syria, Turkey and just head west to London?
Shutting down those countries won’t take long and certainly won’t inconvenience anyone.
I’d suggest using waze, even tough it was created by the evil tzioinim.
Every minute of more delay, is extra time in Kedushas ho’Oretz.
BTW:- Terminal 1 is for domestic flights. International flights are terminal 3.
And I care about this, because…?
Maybe he missed the flight because he was in the wrong terminal?
@1 lol
#2, there are some international flights – to Europe – that leave from terminal 1.
Elal to Europe, checkin is terminal 1 then shuttle to terminal 3
Other reports said the delay was because of ticketing problems/errors resulting from a change in his original travel plans about coming to Eretz Yisroel for a grandson’s bris (whose timing wasn’t known until a week earlier for obvious reasons.
Everything happens for a reason, perhaps the Abisher wanted to make sure he spent more time was spent in Eretz Yisroel
Is this the national enquired??
No offense to the rav, but why in the world is this news?
Will he be using the VIP ZIONIST LOUNGE at the airport?
#3: What kind of question is that? A godol hador’s minute by minute’s status is newsworthy and certainly a lesson for the hamon hoam. For this complete coverage we all thank ywn.
I understand the chasidim immediately chartered a flight.
for your information, he boarded a private plane with his entourage and landed b”h in London
Question:
Why does he have to use the Zionist Ben Gurion airport anyway – he should really use the airport in Jordan, Lebanon or Syria?
#3: Apparently yes, because you read it.
all your comments are a way of bashing other yidden. There is something called opinion which one can have as long as its not going to harm someone. Most of these comments are blatant Lashon Hara. So all of you bored people think before you type..
Takeh, an amazing maaseh. Mamesh mofsim.

No 7 it’s not ELAL to Europe it’s the Easyjet flights to Europe that operate from Terminal 1 and the UP flights from ELAL to select places in Europe that operate from Terminal 1. ELAL to london is from Terminal 3
I believe Terminal 1 at TLV is where the VIP Lounge is located.
