Following another day of Palestinian terror attacks on Sunday, 21 Shevat, including a shooting attack at the Focus Checkpoint and a vehicular ramming attack at the Maccabim Checkpoint, the IDF has placed restrictions into place regarding access entering and leaving Ramallah, the home of the PA (Palestinian Authority) government. The ongoing wave of Arab terror began on erev Rosh Hashanah 5776 and continues to this day.
One may only leave Ramallah for the transfer of goods for in cases of humanitarian need. PA official, those with VIP cards are also permitted to travel uninhibited. Only residents and Israeli Arabs may enter. The restrictions on Ramallah mark the first time the IDF made such a move since the beginning of the terror wave.
