A Chareidi father and his son were shot in Johannesburg on Monday afternoon in what appears to have been an armed robbery.
The incident unfolded on the N3 Highway when robbers opened fire on the vehicle in the vicinity of the Buccleuch Interchange.
The man was driving from his Wynberg business, where he had collected cash, to Bedfordview to pick up his son shortly after noon on Monday when the robbers began following them, Lieutenant-Colonel Lungelo Dlamini said.
The men were wearing balaclavas and driving a white Audi. Several shots were fired.
The father and son ran out of gas on the N3 north. The robbers confronted them, shot them and stole an substantial amount of money.
They were rushed to a hospital in serious condition.
They have since been stabilized.
Names for Tehillim were not available.
Police are searching for five men who fled the scene armed with AK-47’s.

“The father and son ran out of gas … ”
Never drive anywhere risky on less than half a tank.
No brainer, surely?
The Kushim tried to get them in the gas station as they were about to fill up. They escaped the first attemp but not the second, as they ran out of gas down the highway trying to escape…..
Just a question, when you sign your name “No Brainer, surely”, why the question mark after that….?
would this have happened if the “minority” government was still around?
