In a media event held in the Jerusalem Press Club, Yesh Atid party leader MK Yair Lapid on Monday, 15 Shevat, announced he is a candidate to become Israel’s prime minister and will run in the next elections.
“We will offer a way forward for a better Israel” promises Lapid, as well as a vision to end “the Israeli Arab conflict” and towards improving Israel’s standing in the international community.
Clearly Lapid has been campaigning for some time, changing his attire when addressing the media and adopting a policy of refraining from criticizing his government when interviewed by the foreign press. His new image, suit and tie, is one of a leader as he works hard to create a new image of himself for voters.
Lapid feels he will be able to unseat PM Netanyahu as he feels voters have lost faith in Likud as well as the Labor party, both having nothing new to offer the nation while his fresh approach offers viable solution to many problems facing the nation today.
He stresses one of the advantages he has over the other parties is that Yesh Atid is centrist and he can therefore speak to the entire nation.

BIBI is way past his crime and is corrupt.
He is certainly roi for a coalition with the chareidi parties in the next election! Its inspiring to see how a yid can do teshuva so quickly and so thoroughly. I dont think theres any question now about how wonderful a prime minister he will be for the Jewish State.
#2. What planet are you on? First of all, the guy didn’t graduate high school. Second, where is he going to get enough Knesset seats for it. Third, what teshuva are you talking about?
