Jonathan Pollard, who was released from a U.S. prison last November after being incarcerated for 30 years over spying on America for Israel, will reportedly speak at a meeting of major Jewish groups next week.
Pollard will speak to members of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations in New York City, on the topic of his legal battle to ease the conditions of his parole, the Forward reported. The meeting will also include U.S. Reps. Jerrold Nadler (D-N.Y.) and Eliot Engel (D-N.Y.), who had been active in the effort to secure Pollard’s release. Nadler and Engel also wrote a letter to U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch requesting better parole conditions for Pollard.
Before he was freed, Pollard was the only person in U.S. history to be sentenced to life in prison for spying for an American ally.

In my opinion he should stay out of the spotlight. He created enough of a Chillul Hashem, it’s not necessary to make it worse.
Moshe1994: why don’t you try and sit in jail for 30 years and then have stupid people telling you to lay low
He is like a prisoner in his own home how can you tell him not to try and get s lighter parole
@2 You’re right about me being stupid I failed high school, but at least I could see the truth.
Pollard got 30 years for compromising intelligence sources and resources. How many years will Hillary get for compromising intelligence sources and resources?
Reply to Moshe1994:
You have just spoken loshon hora which is also causes a Chillul Hashem!
Moshe 1994. I agree with you 100%. The man spied on America. He should be content with the fact that he is no longer in jail.
We are praying that Jonathsn become a truly free man & leave to Israel ASAP.
#7 Pollard did NOT spy on America! He spied on a country hostile to America.
It is important to understand that we are not aloud to sanction or support in any way the actions that Jonathan Pollard took even if he had the best of intentions.
The best thing Jonathan Pollard can do for Klal Yisroel right now is to make an unequivocal statement that what he did is wrong and that no one should ever attempt to repeat those kind of actions. As religious Jews we are obligated by the Torah to be loyal to the country that we live in.
There was no damage done – people who did much worse didn’t get such a harsh sentence. Let’s show him support for what he went through – he’s one of ours
Moshe 1994: you are not stupid your comment was just insensitive. This man suffered for 30 YEARS! I’m sure he understands and regrets his mistake. But it’s 30 years later . Should he live his entire life in jail for a grave mistake?? He’s asking not to be a prisoner in his own home after suffering for so many years. If we his brothers cant forgive him . Then why should the anti Semites forgive him.
Do you truly believe that the punishment for spying for an ALLY should be LIFE INPRISONMENT?!?
suffering for so many years. If we- his br
I agree he was wrong but enough. let him live the rest of his life in peace. How many robbers, murderers, rapists, and drug abusers go free after just a few years. How can they still be bashing a man who spent majority of his life suffering for his mistake . When will they just say enough is enough?
Moshe ’94 and crazykanoiy, where is Your Loyalty to a Fellow Jew?!! You people sound like you work in the US State Department.
He spied on America to an ally giving Israel documents that Israel, for the most part, should have already known the information contained within. It should not have put America at risk in any way.
Pollard is innocent & was jailed by a State Department run by Arabic lovers & oil worshippers.
We owe him respect & honor & the majority of Jews are ready for a ‘ticket day parade’ so we can show our love.
Zionflag, the phrase is “ticker tape parade,” not ticket day parade…
