Former President Shimon Peres was released from Sheba Medical Center at Tel Hashomer Hospital in Tel Aviv on Tuesday, 9 Shevat. Mr. Peres was rushed to the hospital last week after his private physician determined he may be suffering a heart attack.
The president did indeed suffer a minor cardiac incident and was immediately taken for a cardiac catheterization after it was determined one of his cardiac arteries was blocked. Following the procedure doctors announced the 92-year-old Nobel Prize laureate was in excellent physical condition but was required to remain in the hospital for a number of days for observation.
Doctors have instructed Mr. Peres not to attend the World Economic Conference in Davos, Switzerland this week as planned, but to remain home and rest.
