Former President Shimon Peres was taken to Tel Hashomer Hospital in Tel Aviv complaining of chest pain. The 93-year-old former President and Nobel Prize laureate was transported in a MDA paramedic ambulance, reportedly conscious and alert.

09:35: It is reported that the former president underwent a cardiac catheterization to clear a blocked artery and Mr. Peres has been admitted to an intensive care unit for follow-up and observation.
