Many continue to wonder if former Shas party leader Eli Yishai will return to the political arena.
It appears that Yishai is far from despair and today, while busy hosting events and telemarketing volunteers to climb out of debt, he remains confident this will occur and he will be back to serve Am Yisrael. In an interview with Channel 1 News, Yishai assures listeners he will be back.
He tells the camera that Deri is responsible for his loss in the elections for 20th Knesset but exhibits and air of confidence with an eye towards the future. He speaks of the need to assist the poor in Israel.
When asked about aligning with “Right-wing extremists such as Baruch Marzel in the last elections” he downplays any effort to depict him as a political extremist, adding there is no chance of working with Ari Deri in the future.
While it is clear he will not and possibly cannot return to Shas, Yishai, who has served for decades in the political arena, is confident that he will be back again in the future.
