Five students from a Flatbush Bais Yaakov were taken to the hospital for observation after they appeared to have some type of allergic reaction, Thursday afternoon.
Sources tell YWN that Flatbush Hatzolah received a call at around 3:15PM reporting multiple children who had some type of allergic reaction at Masores Bais Yaakov Girls School.
The schools is located at Ocean Avenue and Avenue I, in the Midwood / Flatbush section of Brooklyn.
The children were reportedly all in from the same class – 4th grade.
All the children were in stable condition, but Flatbush Hatzolah Paramedics decided to have them evaluated at the hospital.
Just after 5:00PM the school sent out an email to parents informing them that all the students had been released from the hospital.
According to WABC, the reaction may have been caused when a teacher innocently brought in a “Swedish Ivy Plant”.
Multiple news choppers were seen overhead as the children were being transported.

A teacher who works there told me that the teacher didn’t bring the ivy into the classroom. The class went to the botanical gardens.
Well, da1234, that teacher is either misinformed or you heard wrong, because having been in that classroom myself, I know that it was the teacher who went to the botanical gardens the day before this incident and brought the plant into the classroom. (The class visited the gardens a few weeks ago.) It has also not been confirmed that it was the plant that caused the reaction, though it’s the best hypothesis…
