An Israel Navy patrol on Wednesday, 25 Teves, detected two barrels or containers off the coast of Ashkelon. The containers appeared suspicious and the first priority was to determine if they fell from a vessel or perhaps they were placed by terrorists.

Experts were summoned to determine if the containers were bombs. Limited information is available and the contents of the containers has not been revealed. It is believed the containers came from the Gaza coast.
