An Arab male arrived at a Terem emergency room on Derech Hebron on motzei Shabbos Parshas Shemos claiming to have been hit by gunfire on the Tunnel Highway from Beit Lechem to Yerushalayim.

It has been learned that he was hit by a ricochet from gunfire as he made his way to the capital from Beit Lechem. Authorities believe his vehicle, which has yellow Israeli license plates, was mistaken by the terrorist for a Jewish driver Jew. The shooting occurred at about 18:20. Police also found signs of being hit by gunfire on the man’s vehicle.

The road was closed for a period of time and nothing was found. It was closed for a second time not too long after amid reports of yet another arrack and then reopened.
