Our emotional shock absorbers were once again pressed into service on Wednesday as three Jewish men were walking to the very busy and usually safe Jaffa gate in Jerusalem when they were attacked by two Arab men wielding knives.
One of the men Rabbi Reuven Biermacher, 45, a Rebbe at Yeshiva Aish HaTorah in the Old City succumbed to his wounds. Later in the day another of the three, Ofer Ben ari, 46, passed away having suffered gunshot wounds from Israeli police who were attempting to neutralize the terrorists. Both terrorists were thankfully killed.
Monitoring the news here in New York I was astounded to see the news flashed on FOX-TV News that read: “Israeli police kill two Palestinians after stabbing.” Online Fox News softened up the headline slightly though still inaccurately writing: “Palestinian Attackers Killed Following Stabbing in Jerusalem.”
This is the otherwise so called “fair and balanced” Fox News.
What is going on here?
How can a tragedy like this be reported by an otherwise right thinking news outlet in such a dangerous, irresponsible and inflammatory fashion?
To further aggravate the situation, Israeli news outlets reported that the two attackers were both at different times over the last few years have been released from Israeli prisons after have been detained for terrorist offenses.
So does Fox News support the contention of Mohammad Abbas and UN Secretary General Ban ki-Moon that Israel is unnecessarily murdering young Palestinian Arabs?
Whoever writes those headlines needs to be excoriated and re-educated about the reality of the situation.

Jews who think Christians and conservatives like Jews and support Israel are for an unpleasant surprise. When they want to, for religious purposes, they support Israel. But not because they like us.
I searched through foxnews.com and couldn’t find the story anywhere
Why is there a disclaimer by YWN regarding this post by Larry Gordon? Aren’t we all looking for fair & unbiased news reporting.

This was the only headline I could find on foxnews.com:
“Police: 3 Israelis wounded in stabbing attack in Jerusalem; 1 assailant killed”
I find nothing objectionable about that.
Perhaps Mr. Gordon is referring to Channel 5 (aka FOX) on network TV, which is a far different animal from Fox News.
