Key Duma Arson Suspect Confesses And Reenacts the Crime

dumaThe key suspect among the detainees in the Duma arson investigation has confessed to his action and reenacted the crime, ISA (Israel Security Agency – Shin Bet) officials report on Tuesday, 10 Teves. According to attorney Itamar Ben-Givir, the confession is the result of over three weeks of torture and sleep deprivation, adding his client, a frum Jew, was violated by interrogators as he was subjected to sexual harassment. Ben-Givir, who was finally permitted to meet with his client on Tuesday, the first time since he was detained, held a press conference outside the Petach Tikvah Magistrate Court.

Ben-Givir explains how “four thugs entered his room” and then beat him and tied him to his bed. He was repeatedly knocked over until he shouted for mercy, shouting “Stop, enough! Leave me!”

Ben-Givir explains his client was told that the physical abuse would continue until he confessed to the fatal arson attack that led to the deaths of three PA (Palestinian Authority) residents and a fourth badly burned. Ben-Givir expressed his shame over the actions of the State of Israel and the ISA in 2015, stressing his client is in need of medical and psychiatric care as a result of his incarceration. He reminded the media of the “300 bus” incident in which the ISA allegedly killed terrorists after they were restrained and in custody.

  1. I don’t understand. Did they have proof beforehand, or not? If they did why did they need to torture the suspects? If the ISA did not have proof, how could they torture the suspects?! And how can one expect a “confession” under torture to be the truth? It may be, but it can likely be a “forced confession”.

  2. These were laws originally put in place for Arab terrorists that they can be arrested and held without bail and a court hearing indefinitely. Now the ISA is using it against yidden. Not surprising. Zionist agenda. Which sane person can believe that anyone would ever Stam confess to a crime;it’s so obvious that there was torture on some level. Even if u don’t believe the kid, which I do.

  3. #1-3: If a confession was extracted by illegal methods it will not be admissible in court. But the fact that Mr. Ben-Gvir says that his clients were ‘tortured’ doesn’t make it so.

  4. There was no proof. They were treated far worse than the terrorists.

I’m more than convinced it was a tribal conflict and not done by the Jews.

  5. The Israeli two-faced judicial system will now back the Shabak, claiming there was no torture, therefore the admission is acceptable. The judges will all accept that, and most MK’s too. They’ll ruin this boy’s life- he’ll never get released in a swap deal like Arab terrorists, and all liberals will be sooo happy. And we will never know.
