Agudath Israel of America commends President Obama and the members of Congress for their long and strong support of Israel’s security needs and, most recently, for allocating $3.1 billion in security assistance as part of the recent omnibus appropriations bill for fiscal year 2016.

Among the assistance to Israel is $487.6 million for U.S.-Israel cooperative missile defense programs, including the “Iron Dome” system, and $40 million for a new joint U.S.-Israel anti-tunneling initiative. B’ezras Hashem, with G-d’s help, both elements will not only serve to better protect Israeli lives but help ensure stability in the Middle East.
