Authorities on Monday morning 9 Teves announced the arrest of a number of terrorist, residents of Ras el-Amud. The arrests were the result of a joint Israel Police/ISA (Israel Security Agency – Shin Bet) operation. According to the ISA report, the suspects in custody took part in firebomb attack, fireworks attack as well as throwing stones as security forces and civilians in the area of Har HaZeisim.

The suspects were arrested in October 2015. The suspects are brothers, residents of Ras el-Amud; Aslim Najar, 18 and Hamza Najar, 22. The suspects have admitted to taking part in the attacks. Based on information received during interrogation, Nadar Natzar, 22, was arrested along with a number of juveniles ages 16 and 17.

Investigators also learned that two juveniles, ages 16 and 17, took part in burning an Egged bus in Ras el-Amud. The bus was attacked with stones and firebombs. The driver fled and they then poured a flammable substance on it and set it ablaze.
