The travel advisory was released on Wednesday, 4 Teves, citing “heightened tensions and security risks” in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv and Haifa as a result of the ongoing wave of Islamic terror attacks.
The US State Department advisory adds “The security situation can change day to day, depending on the political situation, recent events, and geographic area. A rise in political tensions and violence in Jerusalem and the West Bank has resulted in injuries to and deaths of US citizens.”
