Breaking the Silence NGO Banned from Israeli Schools And IDF Events

yaalDefense Minister Moshe Ya’alon on Sunday, 1 Teves, announced the Breaking the Silence NGO is banned from all IDF events as the organization’s motives are “malicious”. He spoke of the organization’s ongoing slandering of the IDF and its personnel, giving Israel’s military a black eye in the international arena.

Joining Ya’alon on Tuesday, 3 Teves, was Education Minister Naftali Bennett, who has given the order banning the organization from the nation’s schools. Taking umbrage with the bans is Meretz leader MK Zahava Gal-On, who feels Israel should embrace the organization’s leaders and thank them for being stalwart defenders of democracy and all that a democratic society stands for.

Bennett explains that Breaking the Silence is an organization that slanders Israel around the world, feeding the international community with “lies and propaganda” against the IDF.

The decision came two days after Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon banned the group from taking part in IDF activities, describing the organization as having “malicious” motives.

On its own English website, the organization describes itself as follows. “Breaking the Silence describes itself on its website as an organization of veteran combatants who have served in the IDF since the start of the second intifada and “have taken it upon themselves to expose the Israeli public to the reality of everyday life in the occupied territories…”

  1. Mentally insane Jewish haters of Jews historically caused immense harm to their own nation.

Obviously, these people are insane and irrational. The source of their irrationality is their desire to be loved and accepted by the nations of the world, which will never happen, no matter what they do. So they blame their inability to be accepted on the actions of other fellow Jews. Just as the Neturie Karta and other outspoken anti-Zionists groups these days do ( not that I’m pro Zionist in all situations but speaking against your fellow Jews to gain “acceptance” from non -Jews will never work and in fact it will backfire).

And so, this mental sickness of trying to gain acceptance from those who won’t accept us is exclusive to some in the Jewish nation, religious and not religious are equally effected.

There is a reason loshon hora and rechilas are such severe aveiros because it has the ability to cause such major harm to others.

And there is a reason why Judaism always talks about peace between Jews. And that is because without achdus we crumble. Only if we are b’achdas and we all stand up for the defense of our nation, whether it be moral or physical support, will Hashem grant us strength to defeat our enemies and live in peace which is what we all want.

And I will assume even those who are anti-Zionists, relious are not, want their brothers and sisters to live in peace. So they need to stop pandering to those who don’t care about Jews and to those who want to destroy us. Frum anti-Zionists should stop going to the goyim and putting in ads in non-Jewish and Arabic newspapers condemning their Jewish brothers and start DAVENING that moshiach should come and we should not have a secular Israeli government. And secular Israelis trying to pander to anti-Semites should just shut up.

But it won’t happen, unfortunately. Sick people rarely change. Sigh…
