A Jewish youth, a minor, was arrested by the ISA (Israel Security Agency – Shin Bet) and police on Wednesday morning, 4 Teves. A search of the suspects home was conducted while the arrest was being made.
The family reports they asked the ISA agents to permit him to take his tefilin with him, to which they reportedly responded “There is no need. Where he is going, he will not need his tefilin for a long time”.
In this case, like many other recent arrests of Jewish suspects, he is not permitted to meet with his attorney.
Attorney Itamar Ben-Givir reports that the arrest of the youth was made in his Givat HaAvot home. He is investigating the case.
