According to a Jerusalem police spokesman, a terror attack was averted early Tuesday afternoon 3 Teves as a result of the actions of an alert border policewoman.
B’chasdei Hashem, the policewoman spotted an Arab female on Dorot Rishonim Street in the center of town who appeared suspicious to her. Without getting within striking range of the suspicious woman, the policewoman stopped her and began questioning her.
At some point the suspect was detained. She was found to be carrying a screwdriver, which she admitted she was going to use in a terror attack. The woman remains in custody.
