Kvish 6 (Highway 6/Yitzchak Rabin Highway) is the nation’s first toll road. Over the years, it has become increasingly popular among motorists, with more and more drivers willing to pay toll to benefit from the time saved by using the highway.
The Ministry of Transportation has approved increasing the speed limit for most of the highway in phase one beginning Wednesday December 2nd. The speed limit has been increased from 110 KPH (66 MPH) to 120 KPH (72 MPH), between I’ron Interchange in the north and Chadid Tunnels in the south. It is reported that in line with Israel Police enforcement policy, police will not stop motorists until they exceed 130 KPH (78 MPH) in those areas, Ynet and others report.
Kvish 6 is now 138 kilometers (85.7 miles) from the Machaz Interchange in the south to Ein Tut in the north.

Rabbonim have warned against using this highway which was built over a number of graveyards and even though the safety engineering is excellent it has an unusually high record of accidents, not a few of them fatal, ר”ל. At the very least, be careful to say Tefillas HaDerech with extra kavanna, and ask your Rav what to do.
News reports say that even though the official speed limit is going up, the police intend to increase their enforcement on the road as well. Be careful.
