El Al flight LY 338 from Amsterdam to Tel Aviv on Thursday 14 Kislev was delayed due to a security alert. In total, the flight was delayed for two hours.
According to Ynet, the plane, which was supposed to land at 11:30 was delayed due to a suspicious vehicle with Belgium license plates that was seen observing the flight at takeoff. The plane was grounded as a result.
A number of other flights scheduled to take off from the same runway were diverted.
Dutch police checked the area with the assistance of a helicopter. After about an hour the ‘all clear’ was given in the airport and the flights were able to resume with take offs.
