The civilian armored bus that flipped over in the Shomron near Rimonim on Thursday morning 14 Kislev was transporting IDF soldiers. The bus was hired by the military as a private charter.

Killed in the accident that left almost 40 persons injured was Corporal Stav Partush A”H, 19, from Maale Adumim.

The fatal accident is under investigation but at present it appears the cause was driver error.

The driver told investigators from his hospital bed “A Palestinian vehicle passed me and caused me to lose control of the bus”.

As one can see from the many photos and videos of the accident, the road, the Alon Road in the Binyamin Regional Council of the Shomron, is a narrow curvy one with one lane in each direction without a divider between them.
