Thanks to a GPS tracking device, and the good work of Williamsburg Shomrim (WSPU), four men were arrested for stealing a vehicle.
The incident happened on Wednesday morning, when a man saw his car missing from where he had parked it in the Crown Heights area of Brooklyn. Thankfully, the man had a tracking device on the vehicle, and was able to track it until it was parked on Park Avenue in Williamsburg. That’s when the man called Shomrim for assistance.
Shomrim responded to the location, and staked out in a parked vehicle. Around 45 minutes later, 4 men exited a building and opened the vehicle. As soon as they were inside, the NYPD were contacted, and the vehicle was stopped by responding officers.
Four men were taken into custody by officers from the NYPD’s 79th Precinct, and the vehicle will be returned to the owner after processing.
