B’chasdei Hashem, a border policeman who was gravely wounded in a Jerusalem stabbing attack has returned to service. The attacked occurred a few months ago, in June 2015 at Shar Shechem, stabbing him in his head, neck and chest.
The policeman, Roz, explained “During those critical moments you must act fast”, reflecting back at the attack. “The moment I neutralized the terrorist and saw the immediate danger was over they evacuated me to the hospital I am glad the event ended without injury to innocent people and just me”.
Roz added he transported to Shaare Zedek Hospital. He began the process of rehabilitation about two weeks later. “To my mazel, the rehabilitation was faster than expected. The day after the attack I was able to communicate and I was released from the hospital in less than two weeks” Roz adds.
Last week, five months after the attack, Roz was back in uniform, showered with praise by his superiors and colleagues alike.
