A bus made to appear to belong to the ‘Egged Taavura’ fleet was spotted by Harel District police near the Harel Bridge. The driver of the minibus did not comply with police orders to pull over and it was compelled to do so following a brief chase.
The vehicle, despite its appearance, is not in any way related to the Egged subsidiary. The passengers were 26 PA (Palestinian Authority) illegals who were traveling on the Jerusalem Tel-Aviv Highway in the direction of Tel Aviv when police attempted to stop it.
Seeking to be absolutely certain, police contact Egged Taavura officials, with the latter confirming the vehicle does not belong to its fleet. The driver and passengers were all taken to the Harel station.
