A female terrorist armed with a knife was heading over to stab a female waiting at Chativat Shomron for a ride. A driver, former Shomron Regional Council head Mr. Gershon Mesika saw what was about to take place, flooring the gas and ramming the terrorist with his vehicle and thereby preventing the attack.

BELOW ARE THE YWN INITIAL UPDATES AS THIS STORY UNFOLDED:

09:16: Preliminary report of an attempted stabbing attack in the Shomron in the area of Chativat Shomron. It appears there are no injuries to the intended victim(s) and the terrorist B”H has been neutralized.

09:21: It appears a female terrorist pulled a knife to stab someone. An alert driver saw what was taking place and floored the gas, running her over and avoiding injury to intended victims.

09:24: It is reported the driver who ran over the terrorist is Gershon Mesika, the former head of the Shomron Regional Council.

09:27: A female terrorist armed with a knife was heading over to stab a female waiting at Chativat Shomron for a ride. A driver, former Shomron Regional Council head Mr. Gershon Mesika saw what was about to take place, flooring the gas and ramming the terrorist with his vehicle and thereby preventing the attack.

His vehicle went into the ditch as is visible in the photo. The terrorist was neutralized as the photo below shows and B’chasdei Hashem, the intended victim unharmed physically. It appears Mesika is also not injured.

A female soldier nearby also realized what was taking place and fired at the terrorist.

10:32: The terrorist killed in the attempted attack was a 16-year-old resident of PA (Palestinian Authority) occupied Shechem.
