BREAKING: Jewish Man Assaulted On Avenue R In Flatbush [UPDATED]

asPolice are investigating a possible assault of a Jewish man in Flatbush.

Sources tell YWN that at around 3:45PM Monday afternoon, a Jewish man – who happens to be a judge – was walking on Avenue R and East 16th Street, when he was pushed into a tree.

The NYPD was on the scene in minutes and began canvassing the area for a suspect.

Detectives from the NYPD’s 61st Precinct are speaking to witnesses and looking for security camera footage.

Police sources tell YWN that the investigation is ongoing, and at this point there is no way to know if this was an intentional assault, or the victim may have been hit by a person just simply running down the street.

Police added that there should be no reason for concern as this is an isolated incident, and additional police patrols will be added to the area.

Flatbush Hatzolah was on the scene and treated the man for light injuries. He was not transported to the hospital.

Additional details will be published when they become available to us.

If anyone has any information that can help in apprehending the perpetrator, please call 800-577-TIPS immediately.

UPDATE: Highly credible sources tell YWN that NYPD Assistant Chief Steven M. Powers has been briefed on the incident, and has dispatched Community Affairs officers to the area> The Chief has also instructed additional resources to be brought into the area to boost up patrols. NYPD Chief Patrick Conry, commander of Detective Borough Brooklyn is ensuring that a full and throughout investigation will take place into this incident.

  1. Can somebody please explain to me….if the Moslem/ Islamic terrorists are slaughtering innocent people around the world – why does everyone still hates the Jews ?

  2. Wow! Is the fact that the victim is a judge have anything to do with the fact that every police official besides Bratton was briefed?
