Tragedy struck the chareidi tzibur of Ashdod on Sunday, 3 Kislev as the woman in charge of a kindergarten collapsed and died in front of the children. The incident happened on Mivtza Chorev Street in Ashdod.
Ichud Hatzalah and MDA responded to the scene and after gaining entry, found the woman in cardiac arrest. A MDA physician on the scene pronounced the woman dead. Needless to say the children are being treated for the shock of the scene and the arrival of emergency personnel and their life-saving actions.
When people arrived at the kindergarten the gate was locked as it should be – but no one came to let them in. One person climbed in and found the teacher in cardiac arrest.
The call for EMS assistance arrived at 13:03, with MDA and Ichud units in the Lachish district responding. MDA paramedics report the chareidi woman’s age was 35.
The kindergarten is located in Rova Gimmel in the city. While the cause of death is not known, police add there are no signs at the scene that would suggest foul play.
