U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-moon says that the response to the Paris attacks should be “robust, but always within the rule of law.”
Speaking in Antalya, Turkey at a meeting of the Group of 20 summit of leading rich and developing nations, Ban says the response must respect human rights: “Otherwise we will only fan the fire we are trying to put out.”
He is also cautioning against action that would “only perpetuate the cycle of hatred and violence.”
World leaders are discussing how to step up the fight against the Islamic State group following the attacks in Paris this week that killed 129 people. But no concrete proposals have emerged as the summit gets underway.

Another Neville Chamberlin speaks. Yes, let’s make nice to our enemies so they will change their minds and like us back. Hashem y’aazar.
Mr Wanky is so right. We must have pity on these poor people. Someone must be in deep psychological torment to try and kill other human beings. What these poor souls need is understanding not condemnation. It is reported that at least one of those killed was a refugee from the turmoil of Syria. How can one not pity folk like this. Yes, Wanky you are quite right to talk about respecting human rights. Shame no one told that to these murderous Islamic Muslim animals. PS Wanky why didn’t you speak again about the importance of clearly marking Jewish goods made in occupied Palestine. That is the root cause of all the ills in the world today.
Always whete the action is ready with his dribble
What about the human rights of the people who were killed? What rules of law were considered by those who committed these evil acts? The terrorists, when they go about killing innocent people in Israel or Paris or elsewhere should be recognized as having forfeited all claim to any rights. I enjoyed the Moon Program of the 1960s. The current “Moon” program threatens life on earth.
