07:19: There was an attempted stabbing attack in the Shomron, at the Eliyahu Crossing near Karnei Shomron. B’chasdei Hashem it appears that no one was injured.

One terrorist was neutralized and the second fled. A manhunt is underway. The crossing has been shut in both directions.

Officials report the terrorist is a female. The security guards at the crossing saw the knife in her hand in time. They ordered her to halt and when she did not, they fired at her.

07:49: The wounded terrorist has died of her gunshot wounds.

08:51: A spokesman for the Defense Ministry adds the terrorist was carrying a suicide note that said goodbye to family members.
