It is reported on Sunday, 26 Cheshvan that the condition of the Grodna Rosh Yeshiva Rabbi Dov Tzvi Karlenstein Shlita has improved. The Rosh Yeshiva was hospitalized last week in serious condition.
The rav son-in-law, HaGaon HaRav Moshe told bochrim in his yeshiva in Ashdod on Sunday morning they can breathe a sigh of relief as the rav’s condition has improved and while he remains in serious condition in Barzilai Hospital in Ashkelon, he is out of life-threading danger. Rav Moshe explained he spent shabbos at the rosh yeshiva’s side.

The name is Rav Karelenstein.
His son in law is Rav Moshe Shmida, not just Rav Moshe.
Rav Karelenstein should have been chosen as the leader of the Lithuanian yeshiva world. However, the tragic death of his wife and later, his son, caused the powers that be to relegate him to Ashdod instead of succeeding Rav Schach in Bnei Brak. Refuah shleimah.
