Security and emergency agencies on erev Shabbos 24 Cheshvan will be participating in a training exercise at Ben-Gurion International Airport between the hours of 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM. During the training even there will be an increased presence of emergency vehicles. In addition, sirens and explosions will be heard.
The Lod-Petach Tikvah entrance to the airport will be closed off from 8:15-9:00. Officials explain that persons who will be in the airport during the hours of the training event will be expected to adhere to instructions from security personnel.
The training event is a scheduled annual security training preparedness exercise.
