In response to death threats against Minister of Agriculture (Bayit Yehudi) Uri Ariel, he has been assigned around-the-clock protest.
According to the Channel 2 News report, in addition to direct threats against Ariel, who is also a Har Habayis activist, he appears in a German SS uniform on social media as well. Ariel has also received threatening text messages, including “You will die the death of kedoshim. When you step out of the house the knife awaits you” and others.
During the past two weeks, security officials have also assigned body guards to Deputy Defense Minister (Bayit Yehudi) Rabbi Eli Ben-Dahan. Security officials confirm the report about Ariel but decline to comment on the reason for a security detail being assigned to Ben-Dahan.

This article is somewhat misleading because it doesn’t tell you WHO the threats are coming from. Temple Mount activists? Chareidi “extremists?” Palestinians? You’re left to conjure up images of your favorite boogeyman as the culprit.
The truth is that the threats he is receiving are from left-wing (secular) animal rights activists who are all riled up because he suggested, as a solution to the problem of strays, deporting millions of cats (that’s right, felines) to any country willing to take them.
