YWN-ISRAEL recently reported the arrest of two Tiveria residents in their 40s, believed involved in the theft of Sifrei Torah from area shuls.

It is now reported a Jerusalem resident, 40, has been arrested as well on suspicion of involvement in the case. This third person is suspected of reselling the Sifrei Torah. He was arraigned on Wednesday, 22 Cheshvan.

Police have called gabbaim from shuls that reported stolen Torah in the hope of identifying Torahs recovered to date. Anyone with information is urged to call 050-507-7661.
