Rockland County – Ramapo Election Results; St. Lawrence, Wieder, Falco Are Victorious

monIn Ramapo, Supervisor Christopher St. Lawrence easily won an eighth term with 54 percent of the vote, beating Republican Michael Parietti by 13,775 to 11,399 votes with 96 percent counted. This was the second time Parietti has lost to St. Lawrence on a reform platform.

Rockland County Majority leader Aron Wieder was victorious against Jacques O. Michel by a landslide.

In Rockland County, the Democratic incumbent Sheriff Louis Falco defeated Republican Woodbury Police Chief Richard Vasquez in the race for Rockland Sheriff Tuesday night. Falco has been the Rockland County sheriff for the past four years.

Vasquez, the police chief in Woodbury, was suspended from his post for insubordination, but some town officials say it was for taking too much time away from his position to campaign.
