A woman was assaulted with a bottle over her head, at Kikar Tzahal in Jerusalem, not far from Shar Yaffo on Monday morning shortly after 10:00 AM in what appears to have been an act of terror. A suspect was taken into custody by police, who responded instantaneously. The suspect is a 22-year-old male resident of Jabil Mukhaber.

The woman, in her 40s, was transported to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in light condition.

The suspect was arrested a short time following the attack in the Mamilla area.
