Nafcha Prison is a facility that houses what Israel calls “security prisoners” a more palatable term for terrorists. The head of the Israel Prison Authority, Aaron Franco learned that despite being a high security facility, cellular telephones were regularly smuggled to prisoners. Phones were thrown into the yard and the prisoners would simply pick them up and then use them to plan and encourage terror attacks on the phone.

IPA Chief Franco on Monday, 13 Cheshvan, visited the prison, at which time he informed the service’s commander at the facility, Shimon Bivas, that he is being removed from his post and he promises that the new commander will bring an end to this problematic situation.
