MK (Machane Tzioni) Yoel Hasson on Monday evening 13 Cheshvan responded to remarks from Deputy Foreign Minister (Bayit Yehudi) Tzipi Hotevely who explained she wishes to see an Israeli flag flying on Har Habayis. Hasson calls on Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu to dismiss Hotevely from her post.

Hasson explained “The messianic Deputy Minister Hotevely continues to inflame the situation in the Middle East with the determination of a mule. Every few months she repeats her call to fly an Israeli flag on Har Habayis as if the situation is not explosive enough. “Hotevely is the model of irresponsibility and she must be ousted and distanced from the cabinet for the good of Israel’s security. At the present time we must act to calm the situation and reach an understanding with the Palestinians and not to rekindle the flames of dispute on in Yerushalayim, especially on Har Habayis”.

Hotevely elicited the ire of Hasson when she called for raising the national flag on Har Habayis. “It’s my dream to see the Israeli flag flying on Har Habayis” stated the deputy minister, adding “This is the holiest site to the Jewish People”.

Hotevely made her remarks during an interview with the Knesset Channel during which she called for permitting Jews to daven on Har Habayis.
