An Air Canada flight with three hundred passengers and crew on board was hit by lightning on Monday as it was heading to Israel. As a result, it made an unscheduled landing in Cyprus. All of the passengers were put up in a hotel.

Airline officials report that the passengers are expected to land in Israel on Monday afternoon 13 Cheshvan at 14:00.
