U.S. Sen. Charles Schumer is asking the public to help identify cellphone dead zones around New York state in an effort to see whether the coverage maps promoted by wireless companies are bogus.
The Democrat announced Wednesday that cellphone carriers claim to provide good wireless coverage through many upstate areas when in fact the service is spotty or non-existent.
To help authorities find out whether the carriers are making deceptive claims about their service, Schumer says his office has created a website to collect information on the locations of dead zones around the state.
The website’s address is schumer.senate.gov/wirelessdeadzone.
Schumer says the information provided by consumers will be given to the Federal Communications Commission.

Our Federal Government is being led by a Muslim terror lover, pushing agendas like the Iran deal, and numerous other foreign affair mistakes. We have been thrust into unrealistic debt, having sold most of our country to China, and now selling more to the Arab bloc and others. The Obamacare wrecked the health care system that might not be reparable. I would expect that someone who ends up in a public office like US Senator has the intellect to prioritize his activities to address other issues. I, too, am affected by dead zones, but that issue can’t shine a candle to the wreckage being done in Washington. Is he sleeping, or just doesn’t care. He is a fence turtle.
