Magen David Adom Chief of Operations Eli Bin was on hand along with Health Minister Yaakov Litzman and Bnei Brak City Hall officials to inaugurate the Torah city’s new MDA station on Tuesday, 6 Cheshvan. Mayor Rav Chanoch Zeibert and Dan District Police Chief Shimon Lavie were also present.

The new station, which will be manned with both basic ambulance and ALS (advanced life support) units will serve the 187,000 residents of Bnei Brak and the new station Bin explains, will cut down response time. The station was made possible by the donation of the Brill, Waldman and Heiser families through Friends of MDA Great Britain.

MDA officials report that 9,000 persons in Bnei Brak are treated annually including the ill and accident victims. There are over 150 employees and volunteers manning the MDA vehicles in the city.
