Today, the leadership of the Union of Orthodox Jewish Congregations of America, the nation’s largest Orthodox Jewish umbrella organization, condemned the draft UNESCO resolution that seeks to declare that the Western Wall in Jerusalem—one of Judaism’s holiest sites—belongs to the al-Aksa Mosque compound and should be declared a Muslim site.
The resolution was submitted to the Executive Board of UNESCO, the United Nations’ Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, by Egypt, Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates on behalf of the Palestinian Authority. In addition to its attempt to reclassify the Western Wall as the “Buraq Plaza,” the proposal also calls for the international community to condemn Israel for urging “its citizens to bear arms in light of the recent terror wave,” according to Ynet, which obtained a copy of the document.
“This shameful resolution completely ignores the historical connection of the Jewish people to Jerusalem and this particular site—the site of the ancient Holy Temple—which dates back more than 2,000 years. In addition, this resolution is a brazen attempt to rewrite history, and will further inflame the ongoing wave of violence and terrorism against Israeli citizens. We call upon the international community to recognize this resolution for the absurdity that it is,” said Nathan Diament, Orthodox Union Executive Director for Public Policy.

We keep losing our holy sites. Never Yosef Hatzaddik was the latest, we have long ago lost control of the Me’aras Hamachpelah, and only b’koshi held on to Kever Rochel Imenu. What is HKB”H trying to tell us? Surely there must be a maamar Chazal that tells us!
Centuries ago, it is said, Arabs used the site of the Kosel for garbage, out of CONTEMPT for the Kosel. A century ago as a wall for houses, AND these animals claim it was nothing more than a stable for Shlomo Hamelech’s horses. In what way has it ever been a holy site for Muslims? This is nothing but a slap in our faces, an act of contemptuous, sneering dismissal.

Once again the Palestinian Authority Made a Clear UN Proposal SHOWING they are NOT interested in PEACE by their Dastardly call to say the Western Wall of the Jewish Temple Mount is part of a Mosque and that while Palestinian savages are hailed as heros for stabbing Jewish men, women and children all over Israel when Jews are called to arm themselves to protect themselves the Jews are the ones condemned. OBAMA PUBLICLY QUESTIONED IF ISRAEL IS INTERESETD IN PEACE!!!
